PSD Import and Export

Resprite supports both importing and exporting .psd files while preserving layer structure and key visual attributes for round-trip editing in major art apps.

Import PSD files​

Use the standard import/open flow to bring layered PSD files into Resprite. On iOS, PSD import is available from R53.

To keep memory usage stable, very large PSD files are prechecked before import.

Exported PSD content​

  • Layers and layer groups
  • Per-layer opacity
  • Layer blend modes
  • Layer clipping masks
  • Unicode layer names

Only the currently selected frame is exported. The PSD file does not contain timeline animation.

App compatibility​

Exported PSDs have been tested to open and edit correctly in:

  • Adobe Photoshop
  • Krita
  • GIMP
  • Procreate
  • Clip Studio Paint
