How do I move selected pixels?

Switch to any selection tool and keep the mode on Replace. Drag inside the highlighted region to move the pixels while the marquee stays locked. If you drag the handles outside the region, you will redefine the selection instead of moving it—switch back to Replace mode whenever you want to reposition artwork.***
