How do I record my drawing process and export a timelapse?
Timelapse records the development of your artwork and exports it as a video. This is separate from exporting the finished animation on your timeline. To capture the app interface and your interactions as well, use your device's screen recorder.
- Check that Timelapse is enabled when creating a project. For an existing project, open Menu → Sprite → Timelapse Properties and enable recording before drawing.
- Draw as usual. Enabling recording does not recreate the drawing process from before it was turned on.
- On desktop / Android, open Menu → File → Export → Timelapse. On iOS, choose Timelapse in the export menu.
- Set the export options and save the video.
No recording to export?
Check whether recording was enabled while you were drawing and whether the recording data is still on this device. Timelapse data is stored separately and is not included in a .resprite project backup. Importing a project backup alone does not bring back its recording history.
Desktop / Android recording is available from v1.27.1. If you use an older version, update Resprite before recording.
