How do I record my drawing process and export a timelapse?
Enable Timelapse before drawing, then export the recorded process as a video. Timelapse captures the artwork as you create it. To record the app interface and your interactions, use the device's screen recorder.
Record and export the drawing process
- Check that timelapse recording is enabled when creating a project. For an existing project, open Menu ▸ Sprite ▸ Timelapse Properties and enable it before you continue drawing.
- Draw as usual. Recording starts from that point; earlier drawing actions cannot be added afterward.
- Choose Timelapse in the export menu. On desktop and Android, the full path is Menu ▸ File ▸ Export ▸ Timelapse; on iOS, choose Timelapse Video.
- Set the export options, check the output resolution and duration, then save the video.
For a movie of the finished timeline animation, use video export instead. Its frame timing is separate from the speed of the drawing-process recording.
No recording to export?
Check that recording was enabled while you drew and that its data is still on the current device. Timelapse data is stored separately and is not included in a .resprite project backup. Importing a project backup does not restore its recording history.
Export any process videos you want to keep before clearing recording data or moving your work to another device.
