Themes
Choose a theme in theme settings, or customise its colours to make the workspace your own.
Customise a theme
Start with a theme you like and adjust its settings while viewing the results:
| Settings | What they control |
|---|---|
| Highlights, darkening, and shadows | Effect strength, base colours, and where the effects apply. |
| Panels, buttons, menus, lists, and text fields | Text and background colours for normal and active states. |
| Timeline selections and text buttons | Colours for selected rows, timeline intersections, and text buttons. |
| Borders and backgrounds | Borders, workspace backgrounds, and selection outlines. |
As you adjust the colours, check that text and selection indicators remain easy to see in both normal and active states.
Platform differences
Desktop and Android also offer panel spacing, tab spacing, and single-window header settings. These layout settings and hover colours are preserved on iOS but do not affect its appearance.
Actions
| Action | Result |
|---|---|
| Reset current theme | Restore the theme's saved settings and discard unsaved edits. |
| Save | Save changes to the selected theme. |
| Save as | Create a new theme from your edits, keeping the original. |
| Delete | Remove the selected theme. At least one theme must remain. |
Import and share theme files
Download a file from Theme Resources, then choose Import in theme settings.
To share your theme, use Export on desktop and Android, or Share on iOS. The resulting .resthm file can be used across all three platforms.
Legacy theme compatibility
Resprite also imports legacy .resthm4i (iOS) and .resthm4d (desktop and Android) themes. To convert one to .resthm, import it and then export or share it.
Install theme files by drag and drop (Desktop)
On desktop, drag a theme file into the app window to import it.

Download theme packs
