What is Onion Skin?
Onion Skin overlays the previous and next frames on the canvas, helping you align motion and spacing between poses.

Onion Skin settings
Settings include:
- Opacity: transparency of the first skin.
- Opacity Step: amount the opacity changes for each additional skin.
- Forward Count: number of future frames to preview.
- Backward Count: number of previous frames to preview.
- Behind Sprite: render skins behind or in front of the current frame.
- Tint Mode: choose among three tint styles.
Toggle Onion Skin
Enable or disable Onion Skin via any of the following:
- Preferences ▸ Onion Skin
- Menu ▸ View ▸ Show Onion Skin
- Single-finger gesture: enable single-finger gestures and drag up or down.
- Timeline action bar toggle.

Why can’t I see Onion Skin?
Ensure the background layer is hidden; otherwise the overlay may blend into it.
