Fonts and text
Resprite supports two font systems: the built-in Resprite font format for pixel-precise glyphs, and standard font files (.ttf, .ttc, .otf, .otc) for traditional typography.
Import fonts
Tap the + button next to the font list in the Insert Text dialog to import additional fonts from the Files app.
Insert text
- Open Menu ▸ Edit ▸ Insert text.
- Choose a font in the left column.
- Tap characters in the grid to compose your string or type directly using the keyboard.
- Adjust spacing, alignment, and anti-aliasing options if available.
- Press Insert to place the text on the current layer.
Combine multiple Resprite fonts within a single text block to mix decorative elements such as icons or emoji.

Create a Resprite font
Resprite fonts store pixel artwork inside a grid so every glyph renders exactly as designed.
- Draw the glyphs on a sprite using the provided template.
- Choose Menu ▸ Export ▸ Save as font.
- Configure grid size, monospace metrics, and preferred word spacing.
- Use Preview to verify the final output.

Resprite fonts are not limited to alphabetic characters—create sets for icons, HUD symbols, or frequently used patterns to speed up UI work.
